Farewell, Facebook

I have done it.  I have joined the others that have left.  I once thought Facebook was a neat tool, a place where I could keep up with my friends.  But no longer.  Sometimes I like filling out surveys and quizzes, but when I have to send it to 20 or 30 people just to see the results, or I keep getting “notifications” to fill out crap - now that’s where I draw the line.  To me it’s all a bunch of spam!

Well now i no longer have to worry about it as I have deactivated my account.  As soon as I get back home (I’m at work), I’ll email Facebook and tell them to totally delete my account.  I don’t want to “come back”.  I want to forget you altogether.

Farewell, not-so-dear friend.  I never want to see you again.

Editor’s note:  I know I have been away from blogging for a little while.  I have been involved in a massively multiplayer online game known as World of Warcraft.  Why do these games have to be so addictive??

I agree! I have a facebook account - but don’t really know why! Basically, I just get endless pics of my friend’s friends! It is not that I have anything against them - I just don’t know most of them. So - after having tried to use it - I still just don’t get it. I really don’t want to have check endless messages and emails from dozens of different sources. So, I may join you soon in deleting it!
