Cabin Fever!

According to Nashville is Talking, Mrs. Catherine Coble is going to Sevierville for a weekend in a cabin - one of my favorite vacation spots.  Now, I’ve never stayed at the cabin she is staying at, so I’m eager to hear about her experience.  My wife and I go every year with her family and stay at their cabin, and I wish i could be up there right now (we go at Christmas).  All I have to say is, have fun Cat, and eat plenty of BBQ!

I have another form of cabin “fever” right now - I’ve been sick since Wednesday and I’m trying to get over it…not sure what it is, just wish it would go away…Keep me in your prayers, please!  Thanks, and God Bless!

We just got back from there…wonderful mornings at 55 degrees … beautiful … didn’t eat any BBQ though…where do you go? We hope to go back to Dollywood either during gospel music month (October) or after they have the Christmas Lights up. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, newscoma and John….I appreciate it! As far as the BBQ, there are two places we usually go. Either Buddy’s BBQ over by the old theater on the Parkway (heading toward Sevierville from Pigeon Forge), or The Great American Steak Buffet (it has BBQ as well as other dishes!)

Tony Gore, a long-time Southern Gospel singer, just opened a BBQ restaurant up on the Winfield Dunn Parkway in Sevierville. From what I hear from my in-laws, it’s pretty good. I think we’ll be checking it out the next time we go up there.
