A Pound of Thoughts

Here’s just some things that are crossing my mind right now:

• Why is blogging so addictive? I have found myself
  always looking forward to updating my blog/looking for comments. Why is
  that?  What makes blogging so intriguing?  Is it the fact that we can say pretty much whatever we want to, in an effort to get things off our chest?  Is it the prospect of finding out what other people think?  Is it the desire to connect with others from distant parts of the globe?  Or is it something more base and simplistic?  What could it be?  I also find myself anxiously awaiting posts at other blog sites. 
• Why can’t I go to bed earlier than 1:00 a.m. during the work week? Recently I have been staying up way too late on weeknights.  I then get to work, dragging my feet, not wanting to do a thing because I’m so exhausted.  (This is somewhat also related to/a result of Number 1).
• Why did the presidential candidates start so early? I have been wondering this for some time, but I’ve just never posed the question on here.  Is it the fact they have no life?  Did they really hate their “other” jobs of representing the people?  Did they just want some extra pocket money?  It’s total lunacy on both sides…We’re still a whole year away from the primaries (many of which have been changed to coincide with the candidates’ impatience), and their not accomplishing anything but raising money. No one is really going to remember these “debates” a year from now when we actually cast our votes.
• How can a tornado do that?  I am constantly amazed at the awesome power of God’s creation, nature.  This past weekend’s tragedy in Greensburg, Kansas has even deepened that awe and respect.  My heart is heavy for all 1,500 plus residents of that pretty-much-razed town.  May God be with all of you as you struggle to rebuild.
• Tiny Cat Pants is extremely creative.  I wish I could come up with some neat stuff to sell like Aunt B.  I’m quite tempted to go on there and buy a “Tiny Cat Pants” mug.  I can just hear my wife now – “What’s ‘Tiny Cat Pants’?” I don’t know how I’d respond…
